Life & Hobbies
Dr. Powers was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. As a student at Florida State University, Dr. Powers was part of the NCAA Cheerleading Team for four years and she had the opportunity to cheer on the 'Noles in the 2014 National Championship. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, fitness, football, basketball, and finding the best restaurants in town.

Military Experience
Dr. Klanderman recently completed seven years of service in the United States Navy Dental Corps. Her first tour was at Great Lakes, Illinois where she maintained a full clinical schedule while completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency. After graduation, she served two years as the sole dentist aboard the amphibious ship USS Fort McHenry (LSD 43), homeported in Norfolk, Virginia. Her responsibilities included not only her own ship's crew, but also the embarked Marine units. During this time, she deployed with Amphibious Squadron Eight to the Fifth and Sixth Fleets in support of the Global War on Terror.
She then transferred to the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, Florida where her responsibilities included the dental care of flight crews assigned to Commander, Patrol, and Reconnaissance Wing 11 as well as other commands assigned to the base. She was promoted to Lieutenant Commander in September of 2018.
Continuing Education & Professional Memberships
Dr. Klanderman is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry. She has successfully completed continuing education in CAD-CAM Advanced Digital Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Radiology, Pharmacology, and General Dentistry Treatment Planning.
Currently, Dr. Klanderman is pursuing advanced education in Implant, Surgical, and Esthetic dentistry. She believes in lifelong learning and emphasizes the importance of being a well- rounded dentist to treat the whole patient.

Life & Hobbies
Dr. Klanderman is a native of Madison, Wisconsin, where her parents, Keith and Deb, as well as her older brother Tim still reside. She was a four-year member of the UW Badger Women's Swim team, earning recognition as an NCAA Division 1 All-American in 2005. Her college experiences, swimming career, and teammates continue to shape her life philosophy.
Dr. Klanderman enjoys traveling, visiting family up north, cooking and eating delicious food, and being active outdoors. She lives in Jacksonville with her husband, son, and rescue dog, Beau.
